Recorded March 13, 2016

Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel lived in the tension between two worlds – that of the sacred and that of our earthly, physical world. A spiritual person, a Free Soul, will live in that tension, will go out and work for the liberation of other souls. We are drawn to grandeur, and the ineffable – that which words cannot capture. Rabbi Heschel says that “When the ineffable meets our reason and our souls on this earthly plane, we’ll be people who love deeply, we’ll be people of humility, and we’ll be people dedicated to the good. It will bring us joy everlasting.” Enjoy this introduction to this holy poet.
